Logistics Officer (OR8) Focused on Defense Medical Logistics
Do you want to combine deep material knowledge with international defense cooperation? We are now looking for an experienced and driven logistics officer (OR8) focused on the development of the defense medical supply chain – from concept to function in units.
The Functional Unit (FunkE) consists of officers and civilian specialists, including doctors and nurses. FunkE has two departments, the Care Provider Department and the Development Department. Our mission is to develop and support combat units and Defense Health with guidelines for safe and secure healthcare. FunkE also conducts development and supply of medical materials and pharmaceuticals, as well as research in the defense medical field.
Main Responsibilities
As a logistics officer at FunkE, you work in the intersection of logistics, material systems, concept development, and international collaboration. You are a key person in the development of future healthcare supply, responsible for planning, leading, and following up on your own development projects, as well as participating in joint studies and concept development within the armed forces.
You represent the Armed Forces (FM) in international forums related to NATO and partner countries' work in defense medical logistics and materials. You lead and implement development projects within defense medical materials and logistics, and participate in concept and capability development within the framework of FM's studies. You represent FM in NATO and international working groups, and collaborate with total defense actors, FMV, FMLOG, and international partners.
In this role, you work with data analysis and use data from FM's material tracking systems, such as LIFT, PRIO, FENIX, and LISA, to identify trends and patterns that can help improve defense medical materials and logistics. You also ensure interoperability with NATO's systems, such as LogFAS, NATO Codification System (NCS), and NATO Medical Information Management System (MedIS/MedCMI), to ensure that FM's defense medical materials and logistics can collaborate effectively with other nations and organizations. Additionally, you contribute to documentation, training, and the design of methodological support in both Swedish and English.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education equivalent to logistics officer OR8 within the Armed Forces
- Solid experience in logistics service
- Experience in material service and system management
- Good system understanding within defense-specific logistics
- Good ability to communicate in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
- Driving license B
PREFERABLE
- Experience in international missions or exercises
- Previous participation in NATO working groups or collaboration projects
- Knowledge of additional languages beyond Swedish and English
- Knowledge of FM's systems: LIFT, PRIO, FENIX, LISA
- Experience collaborating with FMV and the defense industry
Personal Qualities
We are looking for someone who is strategic, analytical, and has the ability to work independently as well as lead workgroups and projects. You need to be able to switch between strategic and operational work. It is important that you are solution-oriented, structured, and thrive in a complex collaborative environment. You should also have an interest in technology and system development. Finally, you need to want to contribute to strengthening Sweden's and our partners' defense medical capabilities. Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
For the authority's mission to be successful, it is assumed that all employees act according to the values that exist. The Armed Forces' values uphold the equal worth of all people, justice, and equality and promote democracy and human rights (read more at www.forsvarsmakten.se).
